Ever since he was a child growing up in his hometown of Quezon City, Philippines, Ryan Almario knew that he was going to be involved in the music industry.

Ryan started taking classical piano lessons at an early age of six. His love for music prompted him to pick up and learn more instruments including the guitar, drums, violin, and saxophone. Just before graduating high school, Ryan began his professional career playing piano for “Blue Repertory”, a musical theatre troupe that tours nationally in the Philippines.

Ryan Almario began to hone his piano playing skills at the University Of The Philippines Conservatory of Music where he majored in Piano Performance. His tastes started drifting towards jazz and started taking lessons outside of school with private piano teachers. Soon thereafter, Ryan became the piano player / keyboardist for the U.P. Big Band Jazz Ensemble and was performing a national tour with the Morris Jazz Quartet.

Mr. Almario moved to the United States and studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. There he studied under influential musicians and engineers such as Marc Rossi, Bernardo Hernandez, Carl Beatty, Jeff Largent, and Mitch Benoff. Ryan graduated summa cum laude with a major in Music Production and Engineering and was awarded the Berklee Achievement Scholarship.

Ryan relocated to Atlanta, GA and almost immediately started an internship at Doppler Studios. Ryan quickly moved up the ranks and became a staff engineer and was involved in major label artists such as Mase, T-Boz (TLC), Mannie Fresh, Eddie Horst, Disturbing The Peace, Monkey Butlers, and Brian Michael Cox. As a sound designer, he has done works for both Doppler Studios and Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. with clients including Cartoon Network, CNN, NBA, and the Georgia Lottery.

At FlipFunk Studios, Ryan Almario’s personal recording / mixing studio, he has produced a number of artists with genres ranging from Pop, Rock, and Latin to Spiritual, Singer / Songwriter and Meditative. Ryan has also produced dozens of individual tracks that are included in the massive online stock / library music collection by Jupiter Tunes.

On top of the busy engineering / producing schedule, Ryan Almario has become a sought-after piano player / keyboardist in and around the Metro Atlanta area. Mr. Almario has played with award-winning acts such as Ashley Harris and has shared the stage with world-famous groups such as the B-52s, Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Heart, Leela James, and Dianna DeGarmo. He is currently the piano player for a number of groups and venues such as Last Five Standing, US Beat, Unity North Atlanta Church, and Capitol City Xpress.

Ryan Almario considers himself very fortunate to be working in the industry that he loves. He is also very thankful for the support and encouragement he has always received from his family and friends.
